I recently enrolled my 6 and 8 year old boys into Rahim Gulam's Golf Academy. They had never played but were keen to learn. This year Rahim conducted a series of introductory workshops at Norgate Community Elementary. These instructional sessions were well received by students and the use of small children's clubs was a novel way to teach the skills and meant all students could be engaged. The instructional sessions were modestly priced even for our school where there can be financial challenges. Rahim is a fantastic coach; he is passionate, knowledgeable, and personable. His greatest strength is his ability to relate, and communicate to a variety of different skill levels. Personally he was able to help me understand the mechanics, and provided me with the ability to make adjustments on my own, and gave me a few drills to practice. Previously when I went to the range, I would hit ball after ball with no purpose. Now every visit has a purpose, and I continue to improve. Golf is much more fun for me now, as I know the steps to take to improve. Rahim taught both of my sons golf lessons at his Junior Golf Clinics in the summer at his golf academy. Neither of them had ever touched a golf club before and after the four sessions, they were able to swing a golf club with the correct technique and actually hit the ball pretty well.
